About This Service

A Six-Figure Remodel Starts With a Six-Week Audition

Nobody hands a contractor $75,000 after one visit to a website. They visit it six times over six weeks, alongside four competitors, checking the photos, the license, and whether the site itself suggests care. The photos are exactly what makes most contractor sites slow, because they are large and there are many of them.

Amrify Pro solves the photo problem at build time. Images are resized and optimized before deploy, the gallery is a small widget rather than a slider plugin, and CI refuses any build that scores under 100 on Lighthouse. The lead engine gives a homeowner a multi-step intake with budget, timeline, and room photos. City pages put you in every town you build in.

There is no general contractor template in the launch set of ten. It ships later, free, to every Pro owner. What is described here is the base a contractor can build on the day the repo arrives.

Portfolio That Survives Forty Photos

Before/after pairs with captions for scope, timeline, and town. Optimized at build, held to Lighthouse 100 in CI, no slider plugin.

Credentials in Config and About

License number, GL and workers' comp, bonding, and certifications printed where homeowners look, from one file.

Static Pages Under One Second

No JavaScript framework on the page, no database, no admin panel to attack. The four Lighthouse scores are enforced, not hoped for.

Project Intake With Photos

Quote wizard fields for project type, budget range, and start date, plus four photos of the space. Delivered to email, phone, and a database.

Town Pages With a Substance Gate

Service-area and project-in-town pages from Census names. Thin pages fail the build rather than shipping as doorways.

Planning Content

The blog ships with tags and Article schema. 'How to budget a kitchen remodel' is a text file, and it is the post that starts the six weeks.

No Upkeep

Static pages have nothing to patch. Your general contractor site stays that way.

Updates Forever

New trades and widgets arrive as a git pull. The general contractor template arrives as a free update.

A Page Per Project Type You Take On

Kitchens, bathrooms, additions, basement finishing, whole-house renovation, commercial tenant improvement, new construction: each is a plain text service page with your scope notes, typical timeline, permit handling, and a call to action. Service schema and breadcrumbs are generated. Google indexes 'home addition builder' and 'kitchen remodel contractor' as the separate pages they are.

A Page Per Project Type You Take On

The Portfolio Is the Proof, So It Has to Load

The before/after gallery widget takes paired photos and a caption per project: scope, weeks on site, town. Every image is resized and optimized during the build, and the portfolio page has to clear the Lighthouse 100 gate like any other. A homeowner on a phone sees your best kitchen in under a second instead of watching a slider spin.

The Portfolio Is the Proof, So It Has to Load

License and Insurance Where They Get Checked

Your state license number, general liability and workers' comp carriers, bonding, and any EPA Lead-Safe, LEED, or CAPS certifications live in config and on the about page, printed in the footer and the Organization schema. Homeowners verify before they call. Commercial property managers verify before they reply. Make both checks take five seconds.

Reserve the Founding Price

Your general contractor site starts with a spot on the founding list. The first 5,000 members receive the ten launch trade templates, with the general contractor template arriving as a free update for $249 instead of $399 the day checkout opens.

Two things help: the general contractor company this site is for and what you want it to do. Anything else is optional.

See the founding offer or the docs whenever you like. Or grade your general contractor site and bring the numbers.

General contracting carries the largest ticket in home services and the longest evaluation. A homeowner planning a $50,000 kitchen or a $200,000 addition spends six to eight weeks looking at three to five contractors before they call one. Across those weeks, your website is opened on a laptop at the office, a tablet on the couch, and a phone in the car, and each time it is compared against someone else’s.

That is the reason contractor sites fail in a particular way. The photos that win the job are the same photos that make a WordPress gallery take five to ten seconds on a phone. The homeowner never reaches the finished bathroom because the slider is still loading the first hero image.

The Contractor Template, Honestly

The launch templates cover ten trades, and general contractor is not among them: roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, landscaping, cleaning, pressure washing, garage door and pest control. The GC template ships afterward as a free update to every Pro owner, and this page makes no promise about when.

What a contractor gets on day one is the base those ten templates are built on. For a trade whose site is mostly photos, credentials, and a good intake form, that base covers the substance.

Photos First

Every image on an Amrify site is resized and optimized when the site is built, not when a visitor loads the page. The before/after gallery widget shows paired photos with a caption per project, and it is a small SolidJS island rather than a slider plugin, so it does not block the rest of the page. A portfolio page with forty projects is still static HTML, and it still has to score 100 on all four Lighthouse categories in CI or the build does not deploy.

Group projects by type. A kitchen gallery, a bathroom gallery, an additions gallery, and a commercial gallery each become a page with its own URL, which is also how a property manager finds the tenant-improvement work without wading through residential kitchens.

Credentials Where They Get Checked

The base build has no dedicated credential component; that is exactly the kind of piece a GC template update would add. It does not need one to display the facts. Config holds the business details that print in the header, footer, and Organization schema. The about page is plain text where the state license number, general liability and workers’ comp carriers, bonding capacity, and certifications (EPA Lead-Safe, LEED AP, CAPS, NARI membership) belong. Put the license number in the footer too. Homeowners verify it. Commercial clients verify it and the insurance limits.

Intake That Qualifies

The lead engine is a serverless API, not a form plugin. Use the plain lead form or the multi-step quote wizard; both post to it. You choose the fields: project type, estimated budget range, target start, property address. Photos of the space, up to four of them, can be attached; the browser resizes each before upload.

You get each submission as an email and as a Telegram or SMS notification; DynamoDB holds the record, and project management software that accepts inbound webhooks can receive it too. Spam is filtered at the API and Turnstile is an optional extra gate. A leads CLI ships in the fleet tooling for pulling records from the command line. A budget range and three photos before the first call is the difference between an informed site visit and a wasted afternoon.

Service Pages and Town Pages

The base site includes a services index with a detail page per service. For a GC, each is a project type: kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, home addition, basement finishing, whole-house renovation, commercial tenant improvement, new construction. Write the scope, the usual timeline, how you handle permits and inspections, and what the client should expect week to week. Service schema and breadcrumbs are generated from the file.

Across a metro, every town on your list gets its own service-area page and, under it, a page per service for that town; Census place names seed the list. Pages without enough substance to justify a URL fail the build, and a content audit flags near-duplicates. Chicago, Naperville, Evanston, Oak Park, and Schaumburg become real pages or the build tells you which ones are not ready.

The Remainder of the Base Build

  • Home, services, about, blog with tags, contact, thank-you, privacy, 404
  • Widgets: estimate calculator, quote wizard, reviews carousel (your Google reviews; none are shipped), before/after gallery, sticky call bar
  • Structured data: Organization, WebSite, Service, Article, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList JSON-LD
  • An Open Graph image for each page, a generated favicon, sitemap, robots.txt, RSS, llms.txt and web manifest
  • GA4, GTM, Clarity optional; six design switches
  • Fleet tooling: new-site scaffolder, cross-site verifier, AWS S3 and CloudFront deploy, leads CLI
  • Four Claude Code skills, CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, seventeen docs
  • Astro 7, Tailwind CSS 4, TypeScript, Lighthouse 100 CI gate

Against a WordPress Contractor Site

A WordPress contractor site stacks a theme on top of gallery, form and SEO plugins, all on shared hosting. With twenty or more unoptimized project photos, it loads in five to ten seconds on a phone and scores between 20 and 45 on Lighthouse. Hosting is $25-60 a month; gallery, SEO, and form plugins add $150-400 a year; and a missed update eventually breaks the contact form. Three years in, the contractor has spent $1,800-5,000 and still has a slow portfolio.

The Amrify base build is static HTML served from a CDN, with images optimized at build and the gallery as a small island. Hosting is free on Netlify, Vercel, or Cloudflare Pages. There is no admin panel and nothing to patch. Structured data is generated rather than plugged in. The price is $249 once for founding members.

Two tools help you see the gap on your own site. The free grader runs Google’s PageSpeed test on a simulated phone in about thirty seconds, no email required, and reports all four scores plus the on-page checks. The compare tool puts your site beside two competitors’ sites, which for a contractor is the same comparison the homeowner is running. The WordPress to Astro migration guide covers moving the pages and redirects.

Launch Sequence

Reserve. Checkout is not open yet. A free account holds a founding spot at $249; after 5,000 members the price is $399, enforced at checkout. At release, your account dashboard gains the private GitHub repo. One seat is one person.

Build the portfolio and credentials first. Fill config with the company details, license number, and insurance. Sort project photos by type and load them into galleries with a caption each. Write a service page per project type. Put the credential list on the about page. Add your towns; the scaffolder starts each from Census data. Write one planning post, because “how to budget a kitchen remodel” is the page that starts the six weeks. The Claude Code skills in the repo will do most of this from instructions; Cursor and Copilot read the same CLAUDE.md.

Deploy. GitHub holds the repo; Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages builds and serves it over SSL. The serverless lead API is deployed to an AWS account the company owns. Route Telegram or SMS to whoever answers estimates.

Watch it through the research window. The Website Monitor on your free account is where the site goes next. It keeps up to thirty sites on a watch list, re-runs Google’s test when you click, and keeps the last ten results with score history. It is not scheduled and does not send alerts, but it is how you confirm that the twelve new project photos you added in week three did not cost you the score in week four.

Contractors This Fits

A tradesperson who just got a GC license. Years of framing or finishing under someone else’s license, and now a company with no web presence. Priced service pages, a gallery of the work you have already done, and a license number in the footer make a new operation look established, for one payment rather than a $10,000 agency site.

A remodeler moving into commercial tenant improvement. Property managers check insurance limits, bonding, and commercial history. A commercial gallery and a commercial service page, or a second site under a commercial brand, keep that audience separate from homeowners. Both are covered by one seat.

A firm building in three or four metros. One site per market inside the monorepo, each carrying its own towns, license details and galleries, all on a shared codebase. Update the intake form once and every market gets it. No per-site fee.

Alex Crabinsky, a full-stack developer working from Alpharetta, Georgia, with over a decade in production sites, wrote the codebase. Amrify’s own live sites run on it, in roofing, TV mounting, glass and exterior cleaning, and each can be graded with the tool above. The developer, in his own words.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I show finished kitchens and additions without slowing the site down?

Yes. Pro includes a before/after gallery widget, and every image on the site is resized and optimized during the build rather than at request time. A portfolio page with forty project photos still ships as static HTML and still has to pass the Lighthouse 100 gate in CI, or the build fails. Each gallery pair takes a caption for scope, timeline, and town.

Is there a general contractor template yet?

Not as a finished layout. The ten templates at launch are roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, pressure washing, pest control, garage door, and painting. The general contractor template comes later as a free update to every Pro owner; no date is given. The base build those templates share is what a GC uses now: a service detail page per project type, the gallery, the lead engine with a multi-step intake, and the city page generator.

Where do my license number and insurance go?

In config and on the about page. The base site’s config holds the business details that print in the header, footer, and Organization schema, and the about page is plain text where you list your state license, general liability and workers’ comp carriers, bonding, and certifications such as EPA Lead-Safe or CAPS. There is no dedicated credential component in the base build; the GC template update is the natural home for one.

How does a homeowner describe a project to me?

Through the lead form or the multi-step quote wizard, both backed by the Pro lead engine. You choose the fields: project type, budget range, target start, property address. Up to four photos of the space can ride along, shrunk in the browser first. From there the request goes to your email, to your phone by Telegram or SMS, into a database record, and by webhook into project software that accepts one.

What does Amrify Pro cost for a contractor?

$249 once for the first 5,000 founding members, $399 after. Nothing sits behind that number: run unlimited sites, use the lead engine, the local SEO engine and the widgets, and collect lifetime updates, the general contractor template among them. Netlify, Vercel, and Cloudflare Pages all host the static output for free. A custom contractor site typically costs $5,000-15,000; WordPress with hosting and plugins runs $1,800-5,000 over three years.

Can I rank in every town I build in?

The local SEO engine generates a service-area page per town and a project-type-in-town page per service per town (‘kitchen remodel contractor in Naperville’), scaffolded from Census place names. A build gate rejects thin pages, so a page has to say something specific about that town and that work or it does not ship. That protects a GC from the doorway-page pattern that gets multi-city sites filtered.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything is plain text and one config file. Adding a project to the gallery is dropping in two photos and a caption. Adding a town is one file the scaffolder starts for you. Because the repo carries a CLAUDE.md and four Claude Code skills, an AI assistant can make the edit from a sentence; Cursor and Copilot work the same way. Nothing requires a WordPress dashboard or a page builder.

How long does launch take?

Portfolio organization is the slow part, because homeowners expect galleries with descriptions, not a folder dump. With photos sorted by project type and your license details at hand, plan on one to two working days: clone the private repo, fill config, write a page per project type, build the gallery, add towns, deploy. Hosting setup accounts for about thirty minutes of it.

Residential and commercial under different names?

One seat covers unlimited production sites, so a residential brand and a commercial brand can each be a site in the monorepo, with separate galleries, service pages, and phone numbers on one shared codebase. An improvement to the intake form lands on both at the next build.
