Moving Company Website Template
Five Months to Book a Year of Moves
Most residential moves happen between May and September. A mover has a five-month window in which the ads run, the phones ring, and the website either converts the traffic or wastes it. A WordPress site on shared hosting slows down in exactly those months, because that is when the traffic arrives.
Amrify Pro is static HTML on a CDN with a serverless lead API, so July looks the same as January to the server. A quote wizard collects origin, destination, home size, date, and room photos. An estimate calculator shows a range before the call. City pages cover every town in the metro, gated so each one carries real content.
A finished moving layout is not among the ten launch trades. Pro owners get it later at no charge, and the rest of this page covers what a mover can build on the base today.
Town Pages Gated for Substance
Service-area and move-type-in-town pages from Census names. Thin pages fail the build instead of shipping as doorways.
Quote Wizard With Room Photos
Origin, destination, home size, date, specialty items, and four resized photos. Delivered to email, phone, and a database record.
Lighthouse 100, Every Build
No plugin stack, no database, and no framework running on the page. CI fails any build that scores under 100 in any of the four categories.
Service Schema From Your Files
Organization, Service, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList JSON-LD generated from config and content. No schema plugin, no hand-edited JSON.
Moving Guides
Packing checklists and 'moving to Nashville' guides as text files with Article schema, tags, RSS, and OG images.
Traffic Spikes Are Not an Event
Static files on a CDN and a serverless API. When the ads work in June, the site does not slow down to match.
Pricing for Your Moving Site
No subscription and no per-site fee for a moving company, or for the ten client sites after it.

Buy once, build for yourself or clients. A moving site is one of them.
Leave It Alone
Plain HTML needs no weekly updates. Your moving site stays that way.
Lifetime Updates Included
New features land in the same repo, free. The moving template arrives as a free update.
A Page Per Kind of Move
Local, long-distance, commercial and office, packing, storage, and specialty items (pianos, safes, artwork) are each a service detail page in plain text with your process, pricing context, and what the customer should have ready. Service schema and breadcrumbs are produced from it. Google indexes 'local movers' and 'long-distance moving company' as separate pages because they are.
A Range Before the Call, Photos With the Request
The estimate calculator shows a range from the home-size and distance bands you configure. The quote wizard then collects origin, destination, home size, date, and specialty items, plus up to four photos of the rooms resized on the customer's phone. The request reaches your inbox, a dispatcher's phone, and a database in your own AWS account at the same time.
Every Town in the Metro, or the Build Says No
One service-area page per town and one move-type-in-town page per service, generated by the local SEO engine from a town list seeded with Census place names. A page without enough substance to justify its URL fails the build, and near-duplicates are flagged by the content audit. Thirty towns around Nashville become thirty pages that can rank, not thirty copies of one page with the name swapped.
Join the Founding List
Your moving site starts with a spot on the founding list. The first 5,000 members receive the ten launch trade templates, with the moving template arriving as a free update for $249 instead of $399 the day checkout opens.

A person searching “movers near me” has already decided to hire movers. They signed a lease or closed on a house, they are standing in a half-packed apartment with a phone, and they are comparing three companies in the next ten minutes. Moving is a one-time purchase per customer, so there is no second chance with that person: the mover whose site loaded and quoted first books the job, and the others never hear from them.
The other thing about that search is when it happens. Most residential moves land between May and September. The ads run then, the searches spike then, and a WordPress site on shared hosting gets slow then, because the database and PHP processes that were fine in February are now serving five times the traffic. The site fails during the only months that matter.
Built for a Spike, Not a Season
An Amrify site is static files on a CDN: no database query per visitor, no server process to exhaust. The Pro lead engine runs serverless in your own AWS account and scales the same way. Fifty visits an hour in January and five thousand in June look identical to the site. CI holds every page to 100 in all four Lighthouse categories, a build that misses does not deploy, and that gate does not relax in summer.
That is the foundation. Here is what sits on it.
What a Mover Can Use Today
To be clear about scope, moving is not one of the ten trades with a template at launch. Those are roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, pressure washing, pest control, garage door, and painting, all home services. A moving layout follows later, free to every Pro owner, on no fixed date. Until then, a moving company builds on the base those ten share.
A service page per kind of move. Local, long-distance and interstate, commercial and office, packing and unpacking, storage, and specialty items (pianos, gun safes, artwork, pool tables). Each is a plain text file with your process, pricing context, and what the customer should have ready. Service schema and breadcrumbs are generated from it, and each move type is a separate URL that ranks on its own.
A range before the phone call. The estimate calculator is one of Pro’s five widgets. You configure ranges by home size (studio through five bedrooms) and distance band; the customer picks theirs and sees a range. Being a small SolidJS island, it loads on the pages you place it on and nowhere else.
A quote wizard with the rooms in it. The multi-step wizard collects origin, destination, home size, preferred date, and specialty items, and lets the customer attach up to four photos of the rooms, resized in the browser before upload. Dispatch sees the sectional and the upright piano before anyone drives out.
A lead engine that does not depend on one inbox. A request is emailed, lands on a phone via Telegram or SMS, is written to DynamoDB, and, when your move-management software accepts a webhook, is forwarded there as well. Bot submissions are filtered before they reach you; Turnstile can be switched on as well. A leads CLI ships for pulling records from the command line, which is useful when a season’s worth of requests needs reconciling.
Town pages that have to earn their URL. Each town gets a service-area page, and each service gets a page in each town, with the local SEO engine seeding the list from Census place names. Pages too thin to justify themselves fail the build gate; near-duplicates get flagged by the content audit. Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, and Littleton become real pages with something to say about parking, elevator reservations, and the apartment complexes on that side of town, or the build reports which ones need work.
The sticky call bar. On mobile the number and a “Get a Quote” button stay pinned. The person in the half-packed apartment does not scroll to find them.
Guides. The blog ships with tags, author pages, pagination, RSS, Article schema, and per-page Open Graph images. “Moving to Nashville: what nobody tells you about the Davidson County lease cycle” is a text file, and it is the page that finds a customer three weeks before they search for movers.
The base also includes JSON-LD for Organization, WebSite, Service, Article, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList; a sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt, and web manifest; GA4, GTM, and Clarity behind optional switches, and six design switches; the fleet tooling (scaffolder for new sites, a verifier that checks across sites, the S3 and CloudFront deploy for AWS, the leads CLI); four Claude Code skills with a CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md; and seventeen docs. Under it: Astro 7, Tailwind CSS 4, TypeScript, and no JavaScript framework on the page.
The July Comparison
| WordPress mover site in July | Amrify Pro base build in July | |
|---|---|---|
| Load on a phone | 4-7 seconds, longer under load | Under 1 second, unchanged under load |
| What breaks at 5x traffic | Database, PHP workers, the form | Nothing; static files and a serverless API |
| Lighthouse performance | 25-50 | 100, and CI fails the build otherwise |
| Quote handling | One inbox via a form plugin | Inbox, phone, database row, webhook |
| Year-round cost | $150-400 per month | $0 hosting, $249 once |
| Three years | $1,500-4,000 | $249 |
Check your own site before the season. The free grader needs about thirty seconds and no email address; it runs Google’s PageSpeed test as a phone would and hands back the four Lighthouse scores together with structured data, SSL, sitemap, and robots checks. If you have been buying leads from an aggregator, run the compare tool against the two movers who outrank you in your metro; their sites are usually the same WordPress install as yours. Migration steps are in the WordPress to Astro guide.
Setting Up Before May
Reserve the founding price now. With checkout still closed, a free account is what holds a $249 seat. The 5,001st member pays $399; the checkout enforces that, not a countdown timer. When Pro releases, the private GitHub repo appears in your account dashboard. A seat is a single person with repo access.
Write the company in. Config takes the name, phone, address, hours, and DOT or state license number. Write a service page per move type. Set the calculator’s home-size and distance ranges. Add the towns; the scaffolder starts each from Census data. Load truck and crew photos. Write the first town guide. The Claude Code skills in the repo turn “add a piano moving page with a stairs surcharge note” into a sentence; Cursor and Copilot use the same CLAUDE.md.
Deploy and route the wizard. Point Netlify, Vercel, or Cloudflare Pages at the GitHub repo and the site goes live with SSL. The lead API deploys to an AWS account the company controls. Point Telegram or SMS at the dispatcher’s phone and the webhook at your move software if it accepts one.
Track the score through the season. The Website Monitor comes with the free account; add the site there. Thirty sites fit on its watch list, Google’s test re-runs when you ask, and the ten most recent results are kept as a history. No schedule and no alerts, but after a June of fast edits it is how you confirm the site still scores 100.
Movers This Fits
An owner-operator running on referrals and a Facebook page. Two trucks, a good crew, and no site. Service pages, town pages, a quote wizard, and a phone number pinned to the screen make the operation look like the established business it is, for one payment.
A local mover adding long-distance or white-glove. Each new line is a service page with its own URL and pricing context, and its own move-type-in-town pages, rather than a bullet on a services overview. A separate brand for the corporate relocation side is a second site on the same seat.
A franchise with territories. Each territory is a site in the monorepo with its own phone, towns, and pricing on the shared codebase and brand standards. Update the wizard once and every territory has it. No per-site fee.
Alex Crabinsky, full-stack developer, Alpharetta, Georgia, more than ten years in production web work, is the author. Amrify’s own live sites run on his code (roofing, TV mounting, glass, exterior cleaning), all public and all gradeable. About the person behind it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a customer get a ballpark before requesting a full quote?
Yes. The estimate calculator widget takes the ranges you configure by home size and distance band and shows a range on the page. Below it, the multi-step quote wizard collects origin, destination, home size, date, and specialty items, and the customer can attach up to four photos of the rooms, resized on their phone. Both are Pro widgets that load only where you place them.
Does the moving template exist yet?
Not as a finished layout. Ten trades get a template at launch, all of them home services: roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, pressure washing, pest control, garage door, painting. Movers get theirs afterward, free, as an update, and nobody has promised a date. What is available now is the base underneath those ten: a service detail page per move type, the calculator and quote wizard, the lead engine, and the city page generator.
What happens to a quote request after submit?
It hits the Pro lead engine, a serverless API running in an AWS account you control. From there it fans out: dispatch is emailed, the crew lead’s phone buzzes over Telegram or SMS, a database row is written, and move-management software that takes inbound webhooks can be handed a copy. Spam filtering is on by default and Turnstile can be added. The database copy is what saves a Saturday lead that an inbox filter ate.
Will the site stay up in July?
Nothing is running that could fall over. Every page is a static file on a CDN; there is no database behind it and no PHP process spun up per visitor. Fifty visits an hour and five thousand look the same to it. The lead API is serverless and scales the same way. That is the difference between a site that slows down when the ads work and one that does not.
How much does Amrify Pro cost for a mover?
One payment of $249 for the first 5,000 founding members, $399 after. Inside: as many sites as you run, both engines (leads and local SEO), the five widgets, and lifetime updates, which is how the moving template will reach you. Netlify, Vercel, or Cloudflare Pages host the static site at no charge. Custom mover sites run $3,000-8,000; WordPress with hosting and plugins costs $1,500-4,000 over three years.
Can I have a page for every town in the metro?
Yes, and a move-type page per town on top (‘local movers in Franklin’). The local SEO engine seeds the town list from Census place names; you write the substance. Thin pages do not pass the build gate, so twenty-five towns either means twenty-five pages with something real to say about moving there, or a build report naming the ones that are not ready.
Do I need technical skills?
No. Config holds the company name, phone, address, and DOT or state license number. Service pages for local, long-distance, commercial, packing, storage, and specialty items are plain text. Towns are one file each, started by the scaffolder. A CLAUDE.md and four Claude Code skills come in the repo, so a paragraph of notes is enough for an assistant to draft the piano-moving page; Cursor and Copilot read the same files.
How long until the site is live?
A company with four service types and ten towns can be live in half a day: clone the private repo, fill config, write the service pages, set the calculator ranges, add towns, deploy. Twenty-five towns and a full specialty lineup is closer to a day. Hosting takes about thirty minutes.
We have three franchise territories. One purchase?
Yes. There is no cap on production sites per seat. Every territory becomes a separate site inside the monorepo, carrying its own phone, towns, and pricing on the shared codebase and brand, and an improvement to the quote wizard reaches all three on the next build.
Can I see which towns and pages produce quotes?
GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity can be switched on; they load deferred, so the Lighthouse score is untouched. Because each quote request is a separate row in the lead database, a season’s requests can be reconciled against the pages that sent them.

Make the Site the One Part of Summer That Does Not Slow Down
$249 once, as one of the first 5,000 founding members, or $399 after that: Amrify Pro is never a subscription. Ten trade templates at launch, the moving template as a free update, and the quote wizard, calculator, lead engine, and town pages from the first build.
